About the Artist
Born in Poland, Sculptor Esther Wertheimer has lived most of her life in Montreal.
But, her quest for artistic excellence has inspired her to study and work in many corners of the world.
Like her sculpture, she is constantly in motion maintaining studios in Montreal and Florida as well as returning to Italy for several months each year to work
in the artists' colony of Pietrasanta. She also travels extensively to many other cities where her works are exhibited.
Education:
1958-63: Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Montreal, Quebec.
1966: International Academy, Austria.
1967-68: Academia di Belle Arts, Florence, Italy.
1973: Bachelor of Arts, Loyola of Montreal, Quebec.
1974-75: Master in Arts, Goddard College.
