About the Artist
Podi Lawrence took up painting as a full time occupation in 1978 specializing in Portraiture and figurative studies.
In 1991, after the opening of a new theatre in her hometown she was invited to be the resident artist illustrating performances. This led Podi to take up residency with the English National Ballet and on to links with other dance companies and orchestras.
She had several solo exhibitions as well as exhibiting with some of the top Art Societies in England including the Royal Society of Painters in Oils, Pastel Society, Society of United Artists, Royal Society of British Painters, Society of Women Artists and Association of British Artists. She also took part in juried shows in Germany and France.
