About the Artist
Angela De Francesco is a painter who was born in Italy, but has lived in Toronto since 1965.
She is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art.
Angela studied Chinese brush painting with Professor Chung Pin-Kawong for several years.
Her artistic talent has been enriched through her extensive travels to Egypt, Peru, Venezuela, Greece, Turkey, Mexico and Italy (to name a few),
all of which have been vital sources of inspiration to her and her canvas.
Angela's paintings are an expression of her imagination and feelings toward what she perceives.
Her inspiration comes from a variety of sources.
She takes the things of everyday life and combines them with the beauty of nature and inner feelings.
The use of vivid colours captures the energy, moods and rhythm on the canvas.
With her brush, Angela blends natural and abstract forms to create emotional landscapes.
Angela communicates through her paintings, seeing them as a dialogue with the world.
